Dear CFW Homeowner & Resident,
We have received reports of an incident of theft in a car that occurred early this morning. The board is very concerned about resident safety and takes these incidents seriously.
If you see any sign of a crime happening, please call 911 immediately and keep yourself out of harm’s way. The City of Pembroke Pines Police Department provide the following information to communities on prevention: Vehicle Burglary - #9PMRoutine
Their road patrol officers & Burglary Suppression Team are working hard to keep our community safe and your property secure - please assist us by locking your doors and removing your valuables. You can also help by reporting suspicious activity, persons, and/or vehicles to police via 911 (emergencies) or 954-764-HELP (non-emergencies).
Many vehicle burglaries that occur within our city involve residents who leave their vehicles unlocked, either accidentally or intentionally. These are crimes of opportunity and can occur very quickly as criminals walk through parking lots pulling on door handles.
We’d like to remind residents to please be mindful of your belongings:
ALWAYS lock your doors.
ALWAYS remove valuables from your vehicle.
ALWAYS remove firearms from your vehicle.
ALWAYS remove spare keys from your vehicle.
ALWAYS enable alarms.
Most vehicle burglaries occur at night. Get in the habit of double-checking your car before you go to bed by setting a recurring #9PMRoutine reminder in your phone.
The board is reviewing some other options to increase the community’s safety. This includes upgrades to the gates and signage. However, our greatest asset is a proactive resident. You can always reach our property manager at 954-693-9989 or cfwhoa@gmail.com
Thank you for your cooperation,
CFW HOA Board of Directors
