Happy New Year! We hope everyone has enjoyed this holiday season. We are providing some information on the removal of lighting/decorations and how to dispose of your Christmas tree.
Holiday Lighting/Decorations - In accordance with our Association Governing Documents all holiday lighting and decorations shall be removed no later than January 15th. This can be found on page 25, section 14.11 - Decorations.
Tree Disposal - Here are a few ways you can dispose of your Christmas tree:
Waste Pro Management - Residents may dispose of their Christmas tree in the green garbage cart (please cut into pieces that will fit into the cart) or place it out for removal on one of your two monthly bulk service dates. For additional information please call- Utility Office- 954 518 9000.
Broward County Chip-A-Tree Program is a free program for Broward County residents. You will need to remove all decorations (no decorated trees will be accepted), then bring the trees to a participating park (see the list below) where they will be chipped and used for landscaping throughout the County park system. There is a limit of two trees per vehicle. Artificial trees are not accepted and no commercial vehicles or garbage trucks are allowed.
The program runs daily from Tuesday, December 26, 2023 through Monday, January 15, 2024 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day). The Broward County park regular weekend and holiday gate entrance fee will NOT be in effect for recyclers.
